Who do you see in your reflection?

Who do you see in your reflection?

For more than 10 years I was looking at a young doctor in my mirror.

Dynamic, aspiring, dedicated, bringing her best self to the table, patient after patient, day after day, lecture after lecture. Doing something she loved to the point of working extra hours without getting paid. I was living my dream-but then...

Have you noticed how seeds grow? Before they get out of the ground into the light, they go deeper inside the darkness to grow the roots that help them sprout.

I had a seed in me.

It was growing subtly, silently. And then, a new dream sprouted. A dream of a shop with bright colors, full of joy and light. I would offer the creations of my passion to women, to help them bring out the Goddess within. That was my post-retirement life plan, and I was following it to the T until life happened.

In all its beautiful, messy, painful, exhilarating ways life pushed that dream forward. Today, my mirror is reflecting a small business co-owner. Sometimes it's hard to believe it's me.

Recently, one of my favorite publications featured my story as that of an inspiring entrepreneur and I feel both humbled and motivated by this honor. Incredible stories are written every day around us and Voyage Dallas is there to bring them to light.

If you'd like to learn more about mine, you can read it here.

Thank you SO much for being part of this journey and my Tribe!
